Lisa currently resides and has spent most of her adult life in southern Ontario, where she also went to Sheridan College to pursue interior design. She came to painting later in life and has done most of her learning through classes at Guelph School of Art, as well numerous workshops over the years with various artists.
Summers growing up were spent on Lake Huron, as well with family in Cape Breton Nova Scotia, where it seems water has been a significant influence in her life, and it's where she feels much comfort and joy. With all its characteristics, it’s endless in the ways in which to capture it.
For the past 18 years Lisa has been, and continues to, practice interior design commercially. From her experiences in working with color, form and composition, she has been able to include these principles and apply them to her paintings.
